This pickup maintains the "faded" attack of the offset pole pieces that many players prefer in combination with our lowest noise preamp. The JV Set will appeal to the player looking for a "retro" vibe with the active tone and response of an EMG.

The JV is one of the few exposed pole-piece offerings from EMG. It aims for the player who appreciates the EMG tone but is looking for something more ‘vintage-y’. We hear the JV as tight and warm. It has a pleasing top end, and with compared with the Aguilar vintage pickups, sounds a bit wider range. This pickup sits really well in the mix, has full lows and maintains great clarity.
