DESCRIPTION

These pickups are modeled after a set of mid 60’s single-coil Jazz Bass® pickups and use all the period-correct parts, including Heavy Formvar wire and Alnico V magnets. Aguilar developed a proprietary winding pattern to give these pickups great string-to-string consistency while sounding full and articulate. The pickups complement any bass and are a great match with Aguilar’s OBP on-board preamps.

Available as a calibrated neck and bridge pickup set, the AG 4J-60 pickups are direct replacements for Jazz Bass® style basses.

**The Neck pickup for sale is from a Set and comes in the packaging for a Set. This pickup is brand new and is not a "Returned Pickup."

**Sorry international bassists, but US Dealers are not authorized to ship Aguilar pickups outside of the US.

Please contact us if you are having trouble finding Aguilar products in your home country.

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE AGUILAR 4J-60 BASS PICKUP?

Aguilar’s 60s era j bass pickups offer tight mid range, and a slightly rawer tone than some of the other 60s era pickups. The low end is warmer, without being too tight….there is a comfortable looseness to the low end that gives a good thickness to the tone.

Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.

As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
