The talented, all-around musician Jon Stockman (bassist for Karnivool and Floating Me) creates some incredibly hard-hitting metal bass sounds. The Alpha Omega DI/Preamp is the result of a cooperative effort between Jon and Darkglass.
Two unique circuits for distortion (dubbed Alpha and Omega for the separate circuits) give this preamp additional voicings that set it apart from other distortion pedals on the market. These two circuits can be used independently or mixed with each other. Beyond that, this exceptional unit has full-out preamp controls allowing a player to dial in their tone further. This pedal is a versatility king amongst distortion effect pedals.
Listen to the clip below and hear how great Jon’s bass tone sits in the mix with the guitars. It retains a distinct voice, while cutting through heavy guitar distortion, and simply...fits.
OPEN BOX DEMO ITEM: There is one unit which was opened and demoed exclusively for the purpose of writing a product review. This is not a “Returned Pedal”.
**Sorry international bassists, but US Dealers are not authorized to ship Darkglass pedals outside of the US. Please contact us if you are having trouble finding Darkglass products in your home country.

The Alpha·Omega has a current draw of 30mA. Only use a regulated 9V DC adapter with a center-negative plug. Due to ecological reasons it does not accept batteries. Unregulated power supplies and/or higher voltages may result in suboptimal noise performance and even damage your unit, voiding the warranty.
