Domino is Jad Freer Audio's latest series of high performance power supplies based on proprietary switching technology, capable of delivering a great amount of clean and constant power for the most demanding pedalboards and situations.
With its 1600mA for each group, the Domino is the most powerful multi PSU on today’s market, designed to safely manage the increased offer of power-hungry and noise-sensitive digital pedals and devices. Neural Quad Cortex, Line 6 Hx series, Strymon, Eventide, Moog, Zoom, etc. - the Domino can handle them all without overheating and in absolute silence.
Another great benefit of a well filtered and engineered switching power supply is that it doesn’t generate magnetic fields in the audible bandwidth, unlike the old toroidal PSU that suffered a lot of 50 / 60Hz hum. This allows the placement of the Domino anywhere you want with no audible interference with other devices or pickups, even using it as a ramp for a row of pedals in you pedalboard setup.
Safety and durability are two aspects that Jad Freer Audio has always given great attention to: the Domino has many internal short circuit protection systems that shut down the device before any damage will happen to the connected equipment. A status LED for each group allows a fast identification of any problem in your pedalboard setup.

I live in rural New England, less than 100 yards from a major power cut and overhead power lines, despite our home having proper grounding and modern electrical systems, we experience dirty power…buzzing in audio lines, etc. which is a real downer, but a problem i thought i had more or less managed with a series of filtered power supplies for pedalboards, etc. However, i purchased a J&F Capo (Tim Lefebvre Edition) last week, (from FBT)and when plugging it into my pedalboard power supply, there was a very disturbing amount of buzz passing through when attempting to record to a battery operated system. It was less audible if just plugged into my tube amp, but still present. In troubleshooting, i tried a few different things, but wondered if perhaps it could be resolved with a new power supply. After reading about the specs of this unit, i reluctantly placed an order…when you already have power supplies for your pedalboard, who really wants to spend nearly $400 on a new one? That being said, i was willing to take the chance, figuring i could return it if it didn’t live up to the manufacturer’s claims. This is only my second or 3rd purchase from FBT, and they are relatively close to me, geographically (only a state away), so my order shipped within a day or two. This morning, i set up the power supply and plugged into the Capo, initially just by itself…extremely quiet…i was stunned! Then i tried plugging in other pedals…still quiet…quiet enough that occasionally, i could even hear the small fan operating. While this power supply is flat, it is larger than the power supply currently used by my other pedalboards (CIOKS and Strymon) and doesn’t actually fit underneath a D’addario pedalboard or one of the smaller Mono boards, which is a bummer. This means, i will either have to buy or build a new pedalboard to accommodate the Domino, or have it stationed aside my board, which isn’t ideal. However, it resolves the buzzing caused by dirty power and for that, i will find a working solution and am glad i took the leap and spent the money. It is an extremely well designed power supply and despite the cost and possibility of it not fitting underneath your pedalboard, I cannot recommend this highly enough. Do your homework to determine if it will fit under your board, or buy a board that will accommodate it. Thanks to the guys at FBT for getting this and the Capo out to me so quickly. Great purchases and customer service.
