Pre-Wired Passive Harness

Great wiring harness!

I’d purchased the passive harness, wired VBTT. It was well put together and easy to install, even considering my basic electronics skills. The only thing I had to change was the output jack as my bass has the long barrel jack. Maybe that could be an option in the future. Everything works and sounds great!

Thanks for the kind words Tim, glad you got it installed.

Regarding the barrell jack - The reason we don't offer a version with the long threaded barrel jack, is because that style of jack is installed from the exterior of the bass, and then wired in. It would require dissassembly by the installer, and thus create more work.

Passive Wiring Harness

I recently purchased a passive wiring harness (volume, volume, tone) to repair an old jazz bass and the results were amazing. I am a novice at soldering and this made my installation much easier. The bass now sounds better than it ever has.

Pre-Wired Passive Harness

I've installed this harness to my Fender Mexican Jazz Bass. It is vol/bal/tone. I'm really shocked, how good it is made and how it sounds! Perfect, clean soldering, excellent work overall!! With my DiMarzio Area J also dead silent. Dream tone details. Highly recommended!!

Pre-wired Harness, Passive, J-Bass

Very happy with this harness in my '90's "Foto-Flame" J-Bass. The original wiring was ok, but a slight modification I had done many years ago just wasn't what I wanted. I love having a master volume and a blending pot for the p.up's. It gives me just that much more variation and control.
I did have to enlarge the holes in the metal plate for the pots, something one might want to be aware of.
Overall, a simple but major improvement!
Thanks "Fat Bass Tone"!
