WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE AGUILAR HOT JAZZ BASSÂź PICKUPS?

Aguilar’s hot J pickup offering is an open, balanced hot pickup. We hear a bit more balance in this pickup compared to the Duncan SJB 2 of similar nomenclature. There is a nice round tone to these pickups, that is not common in a ‘hot’ pickup. With both bridge and neck pickup on, the sound is actually fairly polite, likely do to a bit of compression that happens with both pickups. There is notable nice grind in the neck pickup

Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.

As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
