Lusithand's Filter preamps, unlike common EQ/Preamps, allow you to completely change the signature sound of your pickups by shifting its resonant peak.
The NFP Jazzplate is just an easy way for Jazz bass players to have the NFP filter sound on their instruments. It is solderless and it should fit on most Jazz basses on the market without any adjustments to the control cavity.
The control plate keeps its traditional configuration of Neck Volume and Bridge Volume that is always in-circuit (Volume - Blend Configuration also available). It has a Active/Passive switch and an NFP Filter potentiometer which acts as the only EQ control.
A new feature for the Single NFP Jazzplate is a 3-way Passive Tone switch. This switch allows for adding two levels of high cut on your signal before it hits the preamp acting as a passive tone, just without a potentiometer.
The NFP is a second-order Lowpass filter with a resonant peak on its cutoff point (4khz) and the potentiometer allows you to sweep from anywhere between 150hz and its cutoff point of 4khz. This gives it its characterisctic wah-wahish sound, especially when Boosting the cutoff point via the push-push potentiometer.
