Great Tone!

This pups brought back to life my Fender Marcus Miller (MIJ). Highly recomended if you want that round tone with subtle bright (not harsh at all). I suggest connecting this pickups backwards (ground on hot and viceversa) to get rid of pole piece noise. Thank you!

DESCRIPTION

Period correct late-60s Jazz Bass pickups, the Antiquity II Jazz Bass Jive neck and bridge take your vintage thump and add a hint of point to the attack.

Built around the next phase of vintage Jazz Bass pickups from the mid-60s, the Antiquity II for Jazz Bass are perfect for the player looking for the ability to keep their tone smooth and clear, yet smack with mid-range punch when needed. These are great recording pickups for that very reason. The neck is also wound RW/RP for hum-free performance when paired with the bridge model.

These vintage correct pickups are hand made in Seymour Duncan's Custom Shop, and use hand ground calibrated alnico 5 rod magnets, late 60s era gray flatwork, cloth pushback hookup wire, and are lacquered and wax potted like the originals.

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE SEYMOUR DUNCAN ANTIQUITY II JAZZ BASS® PICKUP SET?

The Antiquity II, a handmade offering from Duncan’s custom shop, aims for a 60s era tone…and achieves it. We hear a slight lower mid scoop compared to Lindy Fralin’s J or the Nordstrand NJ4, but it is slight and may be just what you are looking for.

Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.

As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
