The Apollo Jazz Bass 5-string noiseless pickups are linear humbucking pickups that add punch and articulation missing from standard Jazz Bass pickups while minimizing noise.
The Apollo Jazz Bass pickups have a traditional look, but the punchy and articulate tone they deliver is definitely unique to Seymour Duncan. These pickups utilize a linear humbucking design with two coils that sit next to each other under the cover. The way the coils are wired delivers hum-free performance while creating a sonic fatness and oomph that can often be missing from traditional single coil Jazz bass pickups and are just what you need to take your tone to the next level.
Available in 67/70mm and 70/74mm 5-string configurations. The 67/70mm 5-String pickups use the cover size of traditional 5-string Jazz Basses. If you have an older 5-string Jazz Bass, use the 70/74mm model for the proper fit. All options come with black covers.
Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, Apollo Jazz Bass pickups use hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, Forbon flatwork, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal free performance.

The Duncan Apollo J have a feel similar to the Heavy Weather but with a bit more mid range, likely because of the Apollo J being hum-cancelling. There is a similar bounce as well. Top end is softer, and the lows are tighter, a touch less warmth.
Note: The pickup used for this video is the Seymour Duncan Apollo J, a 4 string pickup. The below 5 string sizes/shapes will sound similar, but not exact as they will use a longer magnet. Seymour Duncan is engineering them to sound as close to each other as possible.
Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.
