Delano MM style Ceramic MC4FE Pickup

Delano pickups are well engineered and are very pro gear. If you want to upgrade your Sterling by Musicman or even a USA Stingray, this ceramic model provides so much more tone and grit. I find it enhances and elevates what my idea of the Stingray tone should be. Try wiring it in Series for even more punch and growl. I also love that it’s available in white. Thanks to Max at Fat Bass Tone for the super helpful wiring and installation advice as well. Excellent service!

DESCRIPTION & TECH

The DELANO MC 4 FE/M2 double split coil humbucker uses eight 9.5 mm diameter plated pole pieces. Compared directly to the AlNiCo V version, you will find punchier bass, more linear dynamic response throughout the entire frequency range. It is characterized by in-your-face ultra fast transients that make ghost notes really jump out and a brightly sparkling top end that never sounds artificial. There will be no 50/60 cycle in single-coil mode because of the quad-coil construction.

Available with Black or White pickup covers.

Includes pickup screw tubing and black screws.

Shielded 4-conductor cable

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE DELANO MC4 FE/M2 MUSIC MAN STYLE BASS PICKUP?

The popular MC4 FE/M2 has very different tones whether wired for passive or active. In passive, we hear pickup with a lot body to it, with a full warm low end and a pleasing, smooth high end. The series wiring gives higher output. The low end is tight, and there is a lot of snap in the top end.

Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.

As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
