Mike Pope 4 Band FlexCore Preamp

My usual go to preamp is East Uni-Pre, but the limited cavity space brought me to FlexCore preamps because of the smaller circuit boards. If these preamps are good enough for Fodera basses, it should be good for me. I'm very satisfied with the sound and versatility, it totally brought my Roscoe SKB5 to life. This replaced a Nordstrand 3 band that wasn't doing it for me. I contemplated selling this bass, but no more. Also, an shout-out to Max as he was very helpful with this transaction. I will no doubt be buying more from Fat Bass Tone.

Mike Pope Flex Core Bass Preamp

This preamp is one of the best, flat response preamps, i.e., it allow for the sound of the wood of the instrument to com through. I am pleased with the response especially the stacked High and Low Mids and what those do for the character of being heard live and in the mix. Fat Bass has the best service and response time.

Great Delivery and Product

Ordered the Flex Core preamp. The delivery was very quick and the notifications helped keep track of what was going on. The preamp itself wasn't the easiest I've ever installed but not far off. The jack assembly was the main issue and had to completely detach and resolder due to the top mount style of the jack. The sound is great though. Good bandwidth on all the active circuits and the tone works both active and passive modes.
