This is a really good pickup.

The most disappointing thing about using Bartolini pickups was the hardness of the tone, but this pickup was different from the Bartolinis I had used so far.
I recommend this pickup if you play pop or soft rock.

Perfect Upgrade from MK1, Fat Bass Tone is the place to get it!

Bart Mk1s are solid for what they are. They carry the signature low mid thump but the treble is quite sharp and I found I was rolling it off but the result sounded empty. The Mk5 Classic Bass is a whole nother level! The low mids punch through and the treble sits on top like a layer of heavenly clouds. I custom wired the inner/outer coils and it gives a j bass rasp with a p bass thump. It doesn’t sound like either, as it’s bartiloni so it sounds magnificent. if you dig the Bart vibe and you want to cut through a mix like butter, don’t hesitate. If your looking for a more “classic” sound, this isn’t it. Fat Bass Tone shipped it out fast! They had a ton of knowledge on their site, and is now my go to for high end bass electronics! They are making my sound very professional and I thank the whole team behind the scenes!

DESCRIPTION

Classic Bass soapbars make you sound better, so you play better. They have a rich, deep voice with lots of high-end clarity and warmth. When you dig in, they are responsive and growly. When you pull back, they are clear and sweet. And they’ll take any slapping and popping you want to give them. The Classic Bass series is popular with progressive, jazz, gospel, and metal musicians where articulation is critical. Without sacrificing low-end, Classic Bass pickups are sweat-proof and won’t crackle and thud when you touch them or hit them with the strings.

If you play a wide variety of music, you know you need some pro-level pickups, but you don’t want to do a big upgrade project, Classic Bass pickups are a great choice. They are passive and will work with your current electronics in most basses.

There are different versions for neck (Bass, -B) and bridge (Treble, -T) so they balance well in your bass.

WHAT IS THE TONE OF THE BARTOLINI CLASSIC BASS SOAPBAR PICKUPS?

Bartolini fans know Bartolinis for their tight sound and strong low mid range. These pickups are no exception. The Classic Bass Series from Bartolini has a nice even balance. These pickups have more open highs than traditional (Original Series) Bartolinis. The low end is not sacrificed at all and sounds deep while retaining tightness.

Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.

As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
