The Bartolini b-axis DG5PJ-19 is a unique 5-string Music Man-style pickup combining Bartolini's high-asymmetry b-axis design with an extremely flexible quad-coil structure. The pickup uses dual inline coils on the bridge side and offset P-style split coils on the neck side, delivering a clear, super-punchy voice with excellent articulation.
The 4-conductor design allows the DG5PJ-19 to be wired in series, parallel or split configurations while remaining hum-cancelling in each configuration. Bartolini designed the pickup with a wider sensing aperture than a conventional Music Man pickup, allowing it to capture more of each string's vibration.
The DG5PJ-19 is designed primarily for the bridge position and pairs particularly well with the Bartolini b-axis J45J-LN-19 Jazz Bass neck pickup or PB5-19 P Bass neck pickup. It is optimized for 19mm bridge string spacing while also working well with 18mm spacing.

Coil Specs:
The DG5PJ-19 has the clear, super-punchy character of Bartolini's b-axis series. The b-axis design uses a highly asymmetric magnetic field intended to capture more of the string's vibration, producing strong articulation, attack and harmonic response while retaining warmth.
Its wider-than-standard Music Man sensing aperture captures more of each string, while the quad-coil design gives players unusual wiring flexibility without sacrificing hum cancellation. The result is a highly articulate pickup that can deliver both punch and complexity while retaining the natural character of the instrument.
