Bartolini's b-axis P-Bass® Pickups are all about enormous, clear tone. They feature a new and unique fully encapsulated Alnico V exposed pole design, and yet they are still fully shielded like all Bartolini's enclosed pickups. The cable is shielded as well.
b-axis pickups are super punchy and bright, but also warm. They are sweat-proof and won’t make nasty noises if you touch them. They have outstanding articulation, attack, and harmonic response. Musicians who play jazz, rock, country, gospel, and hip-hop are already finding their voice in b-axis pickups.

b-axis PB4 Coil Specs
Bartolini’s b-axis offering for P bass is quite interesting. The b-axis PB4 has a really wide frequency feel to it. The pickup has a broader tone than a traditional P, will a little less mid range. Comparing to a couple other outstanding offerings, it has a little more brightness compared with the Nordstrand NP4V, and a bit less low mid push than the LeCompte Triple Threat. Excellent full range pickup.
Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.
