The versatile Classic Bass voice upgrade for Fender Dimension V.

The unique shape of the Fender Dimension pickups makes it hard to classify. It is a bit like a Double J pickup found in a Modern Player in that it allows for full Dual Coil Humbucker structures. But without the distinct mounting ears of a J-Style pickup, the outline is more like a bar of soap than any other so-called soapbar.

Bartolini custom developed the FD5 shape as an upgrade for Dimension basses after many requests. A contributor on Talk Bass even made an adapter to mount a Bartolini BD5C cleanly in a Dimension cavity, and he published the 3D model of the adapter for the community. That led to Bartolini receiving requests to print the adapter and providing it along with BD5 pickups. One player let us borrow his Dimension pickup so we could make a new Bartolini shape as a drop in replacement.

If you play a wide variety of music, you know you need some pro-level pickups, but you don’t want to do a big upgrade project, Classic Bass pickups are a great choice. They are passive and will work with your current electronics in most basses.

There are different versions for neck (Bass, -B) and bridge (Treble, -T) so they balance well in your bass.
