Deep, complex Original voice in a popular 5 string soapbar shape. A common passive upgrade for active basses.
Original Quads provide you with bottomless lows and low-mids along with tonal complexity for excellent bite and growl. They are full and warm for vintage tone, enhancing the natural voice of your bass. They can handle wide string spacing and produce clear, defined tone. The pickup is very much like Bartolini's Original Soapbars, but it has 4 coils instead of 2.
The coils can be split in 2 different ways – to inline pairs or as P and reverse P which requires special wiring. The 4 coils are packed into the shell and then fully shielded and sealed so they are sweat-proof and immune from invisible noise stage and studio equipment. The cables are shielded too.
Available in balanced versions for neck (Bass, -B) and bridge (Treble, -T).

One of our pickup tester, Andy, favorite soapbars. These are punchy and balanced with the right amount of darkness. The quad coils have a certain ‘tightness’ that is quite satisfying.
Note: The pickup used for this video is the Bartolini XXP25C Quad Coil Deep Tone, a 5 string pickup. The 6 & 5 string sizes/shapes will sound similar, but not exact as they will use different length magnets. Bartolini is engineering them to sound as close to each other as possible.
Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demo below to hear it for yourself.
