A split coil humbucking Jazz Bass® pickup with the narrow sensing area of a classic single coil, the JC5 HE/M2-AS gives you a full range single coil tone without any of the headaches of previous designs.
The JC5 HE/M2-AS has an incredibly full, but tight, bottom end and low mid warmth. Velvet mids and sparkling top presence are the ingredients for world class bass tone, that responds flawlessly to every nuance of your playing.
The JC5 HE/M2-AS has a well defined low-B string even on 34 inch scale basses and your E-string will still have the integrity of a good 4-string bass.
Delano's advanced coil design employs custom steel blades, special magnets and full shielding. Its full bass and tight low mids blend finely with very articulate midrange into sparkling harmonic overtones.
Just the right amount of output works great in full passive operation and interacts meticulously with today´s internal or external preamps and/or EQs.

This captures the Marcus Miller tone, with an added bit of softness. The JC4 HE/M2 is a slightly polite pickup that has excellent warmth. It has pillowy tone, with a bit of a scoop in the mid range - a bit more than typical in a Jazz Bass®.
The demo below uses the 4 string version of the JC HE/M2. Delano is engineering the 5 string version to sound as close as possible to the 4 string version.
