The Delano MC 5 AL is a 5-string dual-coil humbucker built around two XL-size coils and ten individual AlNiCo V pole pieces. Its broad sensing field delivers a big, solid five-string sound while keeping the low end tight and complex playing clearly defined.
Warm, full low mids give the pickup plenty of body, while strong transients preserve attack and definition. Its rawer upper-frequency character adds useful grind and cut, making it a great choice when you want a substantial bass sound that can still find its place in a mix.
The shielded 4-conductor cable gives you useful switching flexibility beyond the full humbucking voice. Wire the coils in parallel and the MC 5 AL shifts toward a brighter, cleaner high-end response that works especially well for clean funk, chords and tapping.
