The MC 5 FE/M2 pickup delivers a punchy bass and linear dynamic response throughout the entire frequency range. It is characterized by in-your-face ultra fast transients that make ghost notes really jump out and a brightly sparkling top end that never sounds artificial.
The Delano MC5 FE/M2 quad-coil humbucker uses ten 9.5mm diameter plated pole pieces.
The MC5 FE/M2 pickup with "Standard String Spacing" is a replacement for Lakland®. The custom "15.5mm String Spacing" is a replacement for OLP®.

The popular MC4 FE/M2 has very different tones whether wired for passive or active. In passive, we hear pickup with a lot body to it, with a full warm low end and a pleasing, smooth high end. The series wiring gives higher output. The low end is tight, and there is a lot of snap in the top end.
The pickup used for the below video is the MC4 FE/M2, a 4 string pickup. The 5 string size/shape will sound similar, but not exact as they will use a longer magnet. Delano is engineering them to sound as close to each other as possible.

Delano MC5 FE/M2 5 String Quad-Coil Lakland® Pickup
I put it in a sterling ray5 2-band. I wired it parallel and it gave me the bright modern sound I’ve been looking for. About to add a switch to have the series/parallel option and an Audere 3-band preamp.
