The Delano SBC4 HE/S family brings Delano's soapbar pickup designs to the classic 4-string bass soapbar format, with multiple housing and coil configurations to fit different basses and wiring needs.
The SBC4 HE/S and SBC4 HE/S-E are dual-coil electric bass humbuckers. The SBC4 HE/S-4 and new SBC4 HE/S-4 E expand the family with four-coil designs for additional switching possibilities. The "E" versions use the larger 89 × 38mm EMG35-style housing.
Unbelievably full and open sound throughout the entire spectrum with tight bottom, airy midrange and heavenly harmonics unrivaled by any other bass pickup. Finally your bass can sound like it should.
Shielded multi-conductor cable.
Size (SBC4 HE/S & SBC4 HE/S-4 Neck & Bridge):

1.42" [36mm] Wide
Size (SBC4 HE/S-E & SBC4 HE/S-4 E Neck & Bridge):
3.5" [89mm] Long
1.5" [38mm] Wide
In series, we hear a very transparent pickup. Quite clear, these capture the acoustic sound of the bass well.
Wired in parallel, we hear a nice bloom to the notes. Slappers will enjoy this pickup, as it has crisp extended highs. Tonally, quite clear, and has Delano’s well known articulation.
Note: The pickups used for the audio demos below are Delano SBC 5 HE/S 5-string pickups. Four and six string sizes/shapes will sound similar, but not exact as they use different magnet lengths. Delano engineers the different sizes to sound as close to each other as possible.
Put on a good set of headphones and check out the audio demos below to hear the pickups in series and parallel wiring.
As always, keep in mind that these are generalizations. Your experience could be different depending on many factors.
