GHS Bass Boomers are classic roundwound electric bass strings built for players who want strong low-mid presence, clear attack, and a versatile sound that works well with either a pick or fingerstyle.
Introduced in 1975, Bass Boomers use nickel-plated steel wound over a hex core. We stock a focused selection for 4-string and 5-string basses, including short-scale, standard 37.25" winding, extra-long, and Flea Signature options.
3135 Short Scale 45-95: A light 4-string short-scale set with a 32.75" winding length.
L3045 40-95: A light 4-string set with a 37.25" winding length for players who prefer a lighter gauge and more flexible feel.
ML3045 45-100: A medium-light 4-string set with a 37.25" winding length, positioned between the lighter L3045 and standard M3045.
M3045 45-105: The standard medium 4-string Bass Boomers set with a 37.25" winding length.
M3045F Flea Signature 45-105: Flea's signature 4-string Bass Boomers set in a medium 45-105 gauge range.

ML3045 - 4 String, Medium Light, 37.25" Winding, 45-100: .045, .065, .080, .100. A slightly lighter alternative to the standard M3045 set.
M3045 - 4 String, Medium, 37.25" Winding, 45-105: .045, .065, .085, .105. The standard medium Bass Boomers configuration.
M3045F - 4 String, Medium, Flea Signature, 45-105: .045, .065, .085, .105. Flea's signature Bass Boomers set.
