I was on the fence whether I should get rid of my bass. I recently bought a new one of the same brand (Roscoe) and just really preferred its tone over my older one. Someone recommended I install a Nordstrand preamp because he said they work well with Bartolini Quad Core pickups. Boy was he right! I feel like I got a new bass

I’ve always wanted to install Nordstrand preamp in my bass. I kept the stock pickups & added this jawn. I just wanna say the tone is amazing and that’s before you dial in the tone knob & boost the mids. When you add those two, you get that bite with clarity & growl. Best modification choice.

Wanted a preamp to replace the meh stock Darkglass pre in a Spector EuroNT. Very helpful exchange with FBT rep helped me zero in on the Nordstrand 3b as a suitable replacement. Transaction was easy. Then there was a slight issue in installation (Spector Euro has narrow holes for 2 pots), and another exchange answered my questions about that. These guys know what they're talking about and their prices are competitive, and it was an excellent customer service experience. Most importantly the Euro+Nordy sounds *incredible*, it's really the sound I was looking for -- their advice was spot on. Will definitely look to FBT for future hardware purchases!

The preamp came with non solder connections not pictured on the site. No soldering needed for most connections (I kept the existing output jack). It is very transparent and the combination of active tone controls plus a passive tone makes this very cool. All very ‘real world’ controls.
