DESCRIPTION

The Delano The Xtender 5 HE/S is a dual-coil, hum-cancelling 5-string bass pickup designed for players who want substantial low-end weight without sacrificing definition. Its distinctive oval housing is more than a visual departure: Delano developed the Xtender around a different magnet arrangement and string-sensing pattern to create its own recognizable tonal character.

Expect a massive bottom end, clearly defined mids and an open top end, with the strength and articulation to work in passive basses as well as instruments equipped with an onboard preamp. Choose the Neck or Bridge version in either Black or White to suit your instrument and preferred appearance.

CHOOSING YOUR PICKUP

Black / Neck: Black housing for the neck position.

Black / Bridge: Black housing for the bridge position.

White / Neck: White housing for the neck position.

White / Bridge: White housing for the bridge position.

Each selection includes one pickup. Neck and bridge pickups are sold separately. If you are replacing both pickups, add one Neck and one Bridge version to your cart in your preferred finish.

Installing only one pickup? Delano's recommendation is to choose the Bridge version for a single-pickup installation.

Important fit note: The Xtender uses its own oval housing. Check the dimensions below against your instrument before ordering; do not assume it is a drop-in replacement for a conventional rectangular soapbar.
